Working in layers for compositing or finetuning effects; using color correction and sharpening tools to make your topic pop; and superimposing text, shapes, and other things onto your image for eye-catching originality and flair are just a few of the complicated processes you can conduct with Pixlr.

A set of pulldown menus for tweaks, filters, transformations, and distortions can be found in the top menu bar. While some features, such as History, Layers, and Navigator, can remain visible in the interface while you work on an image (much like Photoshop’s docked panels), others, such as Unsharp Mask, must be changed and approved before moving on to the next operation. To confuse people into thinking you’re using Photoshop

When you first start using Photopea, you could have a strange sense of déjà vu, especially if you’ve used Photoshop before. Photopea has a remarkable ability to replicate the appearance and feel of Photoshop, with a nearly identical toolbar and nested controls and tools that provide comparable menus.

It accepts native Photoshop PSD files, just as Pixlr, and opens images with the same layers as the original. It also works with GIMP and Sketch files natively. It can also export to PSD format, unlike Pixlr, which is useful if you frequently work with Photoshop files.

With adjustment layers, layer styles, masks, text, and smart objects, Photopea isn’t created as a short novelty or social networking program, but as a serious alternative to Photoshop. As a result, it has fewer Instagram-style filters and effects than competitors. Keep your selfies for another app.
